That Invitation to Dinner

Most of us are caught up in the fast pace of life that swirls around us like a time-sucking eddy. Careers, families, hobbies, volunteering: all make great demands on our days and nights.  We surface now and then, and wonder what the heck has happened to our social lives.

My single friends and acquaintances talk about this a lot. And some, brave souls that they are, have turned to internet social networking and dating services like Facebook and in search of a compatible companion.

To them, and any of my readers who might be considering this avenue to a dinner date, I say beware. You may find you don’t like what is on the menu.

Wow! Sounds like something out of a mystery story, not real life. So very bazaar.
